Our atelier of designers creates architecture and interiors that enhance the relationship of people to the built environment and provide a meaningful, functional, fulfilling context for everyday life.
We believe that architecture is the alchemy of inspiration, site, materials, vision and form, and that a symbiosis between circumstance and desire is essential to original and compelling spaces. A rich set of conditions, agendas and real-life constraints makes this an artful process, and engenders innovative thinking and great design.
The collaborative nature of our studio enhances the design process and nourishes meaningful connections with our clients and the craftsmen who build our work. We thrive when working with clients who have interesting and demanding programs, a passion for what will happen in their space, and ideas to contribute—providing opportunities to deepen the design language as we guide each project’s development.
Boor Bridges Architecture works on a diverse range of projects including restaurants, community spaces, private residences and offices. We believe it is our professional obligation to be environmentally intelligent and cognizant of our role relative to the world of consumption, bringing a sustainable perspective and proficiency in energy-efficient building systems to every project.

Seth’s thoughtful approach to architecture is shaped by his clarity of concept and process, his unwavering commitment to craft in objects at all scales, and the simple joy in the mundane and everyday. His even keel and passion for design excellence enriches life both inside the studio and in client work and relationships.
Agile and accomplished at both the micro and macro levels, Seth can zoom in and out from the tiniest details to the big picture and back again on his quest to create places where design experience can be appreciated at all levels. Routine encounters with architecture are fundamental to Seth’s understanding of the way people truly inhabit buildings and spaces—finding inspiration in both the beautiful and the ordinary.
Designing and making go hand in hand for Seth—using the workshop to explore ideas and create prototypes and mock-ups as an integral part of the project development process, as well to craft custom finish details. He has a keen interest in experimental and small-scale architectural interventions in the cityscape, and a penchant for the subtle.
Seth admires architects Rem Koolhaas for writing “Delirious New York”, Adolf Loos for being so good at ornament even though he was opposed to it, and Sigurd Lewerentz for everything else. He is a frequent presenter and panelist, having addressed topics nature’s disheveled power to transform space and small scale urban design, and often serves as a jurist for BArch and MArch design studio critiques around the Bay Area.
Prior to partnering with Bonnie to form Boor Bridges in 2003 Seth worked for a Texas architectural firm on a variety of project types, including hospitality, museum, church and institutional buildings.
